We, the mob!

We do what we do? We are the mob. We are a legion of demons, a school of zombies, a brood of vampires.  We prostrate before the strong, and we devour the weak.

We, the mob. We are born as weaklings, naked, feeble, and lame. The story of our lives is such that we can choose to a degree how we die, but in our birth, we have no say at all. We do not choose the time and place of our birth, nor we choose to whom we are born. If it were up to us, we would choose to be born to the richest parents belonging to the noblest race and the highest caste, princes and princesses, fair in color and high in rank.

But unfortunately, We, the mob, cannot choose, it is decided by nature, and nature is cruel. Most of us are born to poor, low caste, and ignoble parents. We are born as peasants and slaves, dark in complexion and low in rank. Childhood is oblivious, but as our eyes begin to open, we learn who is who, who is low and who is high, who is similar and who is different, who is pure and who is impure, who is to be accepted and who rejected, who is to be embraced and who is to be detested, who is to be loved and favored and who is to be hated and abhorred. Society, religion, and customs teach us to act in a certain way. This way decides the acceptance and rejection that we have in society.

Society is a cruel animal. It believes in customs that cannot be broken and should be respected. If “We, the mob” break its customs, we become outcasts. The fear of being outcasts makes us act appropriately.

We, the mob, detest the religion of our forefathers. We believe that religion was evil because it forced the customs of race and caste; it enforced untouchability, it preached Brahmin was superior. Shudra was low, but Chammar was a vermin, the true scum of the earth. We embraced the Arab imperialism; for us, Syeds are Brahmins, Mullahs are Pandits, and we serve the one true religion given by Allah through his beloved messenger. Our forefathers’ religion discriminated in the name of caste, but our new religion discriminates in the name of religion itself. Here the mantle of Shudras is taken by the kuffaar. They are the scum of earth and fodder for hell.

We, the mob, kill them because they are blasphemers. There are some who we stab, others we shoot, and there were some for whom We, the mob, could not wait for hellfire to pass judgment. We, the mob, can not let the peasants go free. We smite them with our anger; we issue a decree that they should be burnt alive for burning a few pages written in Arabic. Why should we not burn them alive? not only that, we also want to play a little; we beat them with clubs as their babes watch and cry. Babes shout for mercy, but we, the mob, are deaf. Why should we listen to what a lowly Churra says? How dare they ask us for their rightful wage, how dare they! Let us rip their bloody clothes off their bodies, let us have a look at them naked, let us see them beg a little more, let us have a little more fun, let them shout, let them beg, let them whine. We, the mob, have seen a naked pregnant Churri; let us kick her in the belly, let us make her feel the pain, let us see the reaction on her man’s face. We, the mob, brought a hammer, break! Break! Break their legs, tie them up and drag them behind a tractor.

Their Babes are crying, following us in the streets; we, the mob, kick them, we curse them. Let us now bring them to the kiln; let us see how the kiln cooks two dark bricks. We, the mob, burn these unbelievers, our god, our Allah, will save us from the eternal fire. We the mob are content, and we are doing Allah’s work; he is pleased, he smiles, Satan is weeping, he is sad, We, the mob, have brought justice upon his minions. We, the mob are happy, we the mob are victorious, We the mob are euphoric.

We, the mob, have solved all our problems. We the mob are saved, we are mesmerized, we have burnt our problems away, we the mob have cleaned our land of all the problems. Today is a happy day. Tomorrow is another story, but today we are free, happy, and content, today we have done something for God, today we have made him happy, today we have no tolls, today we are painless, today we are numb, but tomorrow is another story another day and another mob.

We do what we do? We are the mob. We are a legion of demons, a school of zombies, a brood of vampires.  We prostrate before the strong, and we devour the weak.

Abdullah Ibn Saad or Saad Ibn Abi Sarh embraced Islam after Hijra and migrated to Medina. He became a scribe for Prophet Muhammad and wrote down the revelation. But he apostatized and fled back to Mecca. He claimed that the prophet allowed any amendments that he recommended while writing down the revelation. Therefore he claimed that Muhammad did not receive any divine revelation.

Prophet Muhammad ordered the killing of six people at the conquest of Mecca, one of these was Abdullah Ibn Saad.

It was narrated from Mus’ab bin Sa’d that his father said:

“On the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted amnesty to the people, except four men and two women. He said: ‘Kill them, even if you find them clinging to the covers of Ka’bah.’ (They were) ‘Ikrimah bin Abi Jahl, ‘Abdullah bin Khatal, Miqyas bin Subabah and ‘Abdullah bin Sa’d bin Abi As-Sarh. ‘Abdullah bin Khatl was caught while he was clinging to the covers of Ka’bah. Sa’eed bin Huraith and ‘Ammar bin Yasir both rushed toward him, but Sa’eed, who was the younger of the two, got there before ‘Ammar, and he killed him. Miqyas bin Subabah was caught by the people in the marketplace, and they killed him. ‘Ikrimah traveled by sea, and he was caught in a storm. The crew of the ship said: ‘Turn sincerely toward Allah, for your (false) gods cannot help you at all in this situation.’ ‘Ikrimah said: ‘By Allah if nothing came to save me at sea except sincerity toward Allah then nothing else will save me on land. O Allah, I promise You that if You save me from this predicament I will go to Muhammad ﷺ and put my hand in his, and I am sure that I will find him generous and forgiving.’ So he came and accepted Islam. ‘Abdullah (bin Sa’d) bin Abi Sarh hid in the house of ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called the people to give their Oath of Allegiance, he brought him, and made him stand before the Prophet ﷺ. He (‘Uthman) said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Accept the allegiance of ‘Abdullah.’ He raised his head and looked at him three times, refusing his allegiance each time, then he accepted his allegiance three times. Then he turned to his Companions and said: ‘Was there not any sensible man among you who would get up when he saw me refusing to give him my hand and kill him?’ They said: ‘We did not know, O Messenger of Allah, what was in your heart. Why did you not gesture to us with your eyes?’ He said: ‘It is not befitting for a Prophet that his eyes be deceitful.'”

Sunnan al Nasai Hadith 4072

Muhammad despised Abdullah ibn Saad, and Muhammad indeed wanted him dead. The real reason is mentioned in all the major Islamic history books.

The scribes of Muhammad were 42 in number. `Abdallah Ibn Sarh al-`Amiri was one of them, and he was the first Quraishite among those who wrote in Mecca before he turned away from Islam. He started saying, “I used to direct Muhammad wherever I willed. He would dictate to me ‘Most High, All-Wise’, and I would write down ‘All-Wise’ only. Then he would say, ‘Yes it is all the same’. On a certain occasion he said, ‘Write such and such’, but I wrote ‘Write’ only, and he said, ‘Write whatever you like.'” So when this scribe exposed Muhammad, he wrote in the Qur’an, “And who does greater evil than he who forges against God a lie, or says, ‘To me, it has been revealed’, when naught has been revealed to him.” So on the day, Muhammad conquered Mecca, he commanded his scribe to be killed.

According to Al-Sira by Al-Iraqi

Many Islamic apologists claim that the story of apostatizing of Abdullah Ibn Saad has no credibility. But this story is seen repeatedly in Sahih Hadith. The reason of his apostasy is found in “Kitab Al Tabqat Al Kabir”, Ib Ishaq also corroborates this story.

Abdullah ib Saad’s story puts light on two issues. First it gives us information that Muhammad was accepting alterations in Quran by the scribes. It was not only Abdullah Ibn Saad but another scribe a Christian convert also made the similar allegations against the prophet.

Narrated Anas:

There was a Christian who embraced Islam and read Surat-al-Baqara and Al-`Imran, and he used to write (the revelations) for the Prophet. Later on he returned to Christianity again and he used to say: “Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him.” Then Allah caused him to die, and the people buried him, but in the morning they saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, “This is the act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and took his body out of it because he had run away from them.” They again dug the grave deeply for him, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, “This is an act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and threw his body outside it, for he had run away from them.” They dug the grave for him as deep as they could, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. So they believed that what had befallen him was not done by human beings and had to leave him thrown (on the ground).

Sahih Al Bukhari Hadith Number 3617

In my previous video, I have shed light on why Quran is not preserved. Abdullah ibn Saad was one of the people who reported that Muhammad was not receiving any divine message. The Christian convert also made the same allegations against Muhammad. It has also been reported in the Hadith that Muhammad used to forget verses of Quran. The compilation of Quran is a testament in itself to the abrogations and ammendements in Quran. I will adress the topic of corruption and non preservation of Quran in a separate Article.

We can conclude that Quran was at most Muhammad’s doing. The Quran we have today is different, its is not what Muhammad dictated. Many changes were made. Portions were removed and added to Quran. Islamic history records many such happenings in which quran was altered.

I have discussed alterations and revisions in Quran in a video.
